First down a sidestreet, than down a lot of old steps in the dark underground. In a cellar there is a beautiful gallery. Sometimes it is really worth to go into the unknown corners. When did you leave the main street and what did you see?
I can not explain in words how beautiful Bratislava is. Today I had some time to see two exhibitions. Both were inspiring, but heck, I can not throw so much pics at you. All I can give are snippets. I decided to show a bit of "clothes over time". I hope you like them as much as I did.
Bratislava is a beautiful town. In every street you can see interesting views. And do not miss to eat local. The food is great and they have their own beer and wine. I decided not to include pics of the culinary experiences, coz it would be mean, I just mention a great poppy cake, homemade cheese....
I will add a bit more pics and text during the next days.
I do not know how you are, I hate shopping for clothes. Shopping for fabrics - yeah - where? Shopping for art supplies - now, come on! But clothes - why?
Well, today I had to buy myself a new jeans. And a new jacket.
To give you an inspiration how often I buy clothes: The jacket I wore today was allready two times at the little asian lady to get some seams mended and now it is so out of shape... My jeans are nearly the same.
One new jeans and a jacket one hour, a lot of Euro. Oh, what could I have bought on art supplies or fabrics.
Today was the opening of the exhibition of Waldemar Mirek, 12 und eine kleine Schattengeschichte. I know Waldemar for several years and I can tell you he knows how to use his colours. Sorry, that I can show only snippets, the painting is so large, it goes around both sides of the church. When you want to see the whole painting: The picture is in the Kreuzkirche Hannover until the 4th of October.
Today I saw for the first time our new finished floors in our new home. I now start to believe that we will move next month. Room, room, more room than ever before... Place to play with - enough space...
Today we had nice warm weather. I enjoyed going outdoors, walking through the street party.
I am alone at home so I had much space to work with fabric today. I finished one bag and got another to the postbox for a little girl of a friend of mine. You are never too young/or too old to have some nice bags.
Today I did some shooting at the Ihme Gallery. The Ihme Gallery is part of the Ihmezentrum at the moment. With the Gallery they try to add a bit of colour to a not so nice part of Hannover.
The Ihmezentrum consists of some ugly buildings and is since years a construction area. Well, the last two or three years no construction took place. It is not nice to stay near where there is a construction site for years. Giving this place some colour to cheer us up was a good idea.
