I just finished my latest book - "The marriage plot" by Jeffrey Eugenides. It was a good read although I have to admit, that I recognized my ignorance and notknowing in some subjects (semiotics, Barthes, ...). Now I joined in the music with using the keyboard for a drum.
My hubby asked yesterday. When I told him that all I did was to fix some pics at the wall, he told me that I had luck that the wall did not collapse coz I used a deconstruction tool. Well, it worked well and I have now some pics at the walls of my sewing studio.
Am not my old self yet, but start to feel a bit better. Made myself some mashed potatoes and baked lox and ate a handfull. I am happy that my hubby still has some appetit although he is still feeling bad with his cold, so no waste - he ate the rest.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society written by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. It took some time to get used to the book, coz it is written in letters, but it is really worth the effort. History, love, war, friendship - a book to laugh and cry.
One day by David Nicholls. There is nothing more to add than that I could not stop reading.

... came along for dinner today. Well, correct it would be that we carried her to our house and brought her back to her home today. We enjoyed a nice three course dinner together, made a fire in our fireplace and had some coffee, too.
My friend really thinks about moving into a nursing home, but she still loves her flat so much it is hard for her to move. Well, after her stroke she does only leave the house with someone else coz she fears going alone. So she is a bit handicapped with her social life.
For me it is hard to give myself the care I need. I was brought up to care for everybody else more than for myself.
So staying at home when I have just pain and do not feel well - hey I am not like dead, I could go to work. So allowing myself to call ill at work and stay in bed is hard although it was the right thing to do. I am allready feeling much better.
...to beautiful fabrics. Today I made a pillowcover from an African fabric screenprinted in Zimbabwe - it will soon find a new home as a birthday present for someone who loves Africa although she has never been there yet. I bought the fabric here.
