Today we have beautiful spring weather. Warm and sunny, bees busy.
And I decided to have a give away to celebrate - well, I allready celebrated with lox - roll and champagne, but I want to share. So just add a comment. You can be sure it will not be sparkling wine and lox (edit: salmon), but something lovely, too.
(Give away is closed - Ana and Sabine you can wait for the postman)
You may think I did not get the theme. Well, you are wrong. I took this pic through the window of my sewing studio. A big willow is standing outside and there is a lot of coming and going at the moment.
Today I got nosebleeding without any reason. Just when I had to leave. I managed to get to work, but I left some bloodstream in the underground. People moved away from me when they saw me bleeding. Nosebleeding stopped on my way to the central station and I was left with just a mild headache during the day.
... it depends how you want to see it. I have written these weeks more job applications than the years before. I want to settle in a job. I am grown out of one year here and one year there although I learned a lot during the last ten years I want to close this chapter of my life. It is time to start a new adventure that will last longer. I am ready.
The good thing about going on my own feet to the main train station was that I managed to buy rolls at my fav bakery. Mhhh, I love their produces. And I was early enough to get my regular train. Later I had the chance to visit Celle and I said yes. So a nice time in Celle enjoying the flair of old houses. And I had luck the showers of hail and rain were only when I was inside. A lot like April on the weatherside here.
These owls were designed by Gretelies and are printed on cotton. All you have to do is cut them out and sew them together and stuff them. So easy peasy work. I still have to finish the last part (closing by handsewing), but I wanted to share them today.
Thank you Claudia, I hope that not only the weatherforecast will be this way. Next week I will have an appointment with the big boss and will talk with him about my future. I am allready a bit nervous, coz all I know yet is that I will have to change location/job this year.
But look - there was still more in the letter:
Claudia makes the most beautiful things. Look what I got.
Can you believe Claudia made the Easter - bunny herself?
Der holländische Stoffmarkt. A great possibility to stock on all sort of fabrics and sewing supplies. Today I behaved myself and did not buy very (!) much. (When the market is not in town I use the internet or visit limetrees, a beautiful shop here in Hannover). Be early coz it is really really crowded. I was a bit late today and I had to fight my way to get near the booths.
Holländische Kakaostuben -this is the best point to stop in the city for a hot cup of chocolate. When you order "Wiener Schokolade" you will get a cup with cream and dark chocolate splits on it, mmmhhh. And they have a lot of nice cakes on display, so you can see them before ordering one or two pieces.
Further on we go down the Georgstraße. There is Weitz, a place where you will find a lot of china, glasses, kitchenaides... they have a beautiful display inside...
The Georgstrasse is plastered with beautiful expensive shops, a variete and the new theatre. And on the opposite side you have the opera, and some old buildings like this one:
The street leads from the main city square (Kröpcke) to the Aegi.
This can bee seen at the Aegi. I love it that we have a lot of art in the city.
For lunch I wanted something fast and cheap- so I made pasta with
